Donna took her first yoga class in college in 1975 and fell in love. After gradually building her personal practice over the years, she became a certified Sadhana Hatha Instructor in 2009 through the School Yoga Institute. Sadhana Yoga is the yoga of spiritual practice. Even though it is derived from different yoga traditions; Ashtanga Vinyasa, Sivananda, Iyengar, etc., its overall design reaches beyond the forms and traditions. She brings three basic elements of practice to each class: First, a foundational routine of fundamental postures linked with transition breath and sequences. The second level offers modifications to suit individual abilities. The third level is the integration of the spiritual practice pertinent for each individual.
Sadhana Yoga has many different routines, such as Sadhana Vinyasa Yoga (based on Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition), Sadhana Hatha Flow Yoga (based on Sivananda Classic Yoga Tradition), Sadhana Gentle Yoga, Sadhana Restorative Yoga, and Sadhana Shamanic Yoga (connecting with our luminous energy bodies, nature and the elements).
Donna is also is a Thai Yoga Practitioner, Basic WATSU Practitioner (Water Shiatsu) and does Spirtual Pilgrimages to the Sacred Valley of Peru and Central America. She is thrilled to be a part of the House of Conscious Living Yoga.
